My name is Ruth and I live in Arizona. I found Mountain Movers when I was looking for a group of like-minded believers to connect with during a season when I was searching for a new church. My hubby was still attending a men’s group and my youngest daughter was connected with her youth group on Wednesday evenings, but I didn’t have a group of my own. I was feeling very lonely and disconnected from the body of Christ, so I prayed for about a week for God to open the right doors and guide me in the right direction; that’s when I found this amazing ministry. In December of 2023, I started watching the Mountain Movers content on YouTube and was incredibly blessed by the teachings! My heart resonated so much with the vulnerability of the ladies sharing their testimonies of overcoming health issues and personal challenges by focusing on their walk with Christ, rather than the problems they were facing. 

While the YouTube teachings were indeed a powerful part of my journey, Melissa kept mentioning the live Zoom sessions and the anointed prayers that are not part of the recordings posted on YouTube. I finally started attending the live Zoom sessions in February 2024 and WOW was she right! Being on camera at these live teachings and connecting with these lovely ladies has been life-changing. I highly encourage anyone interested in this ministry to turn on their cameras and join us on Wednesday evenings for a powerful time with amazing women of all ages and walks of life in a judgment-free zone. You will not be disappointed. It’s so true that the right community of women will empower us while the wrong community will infect and weaken us, so we must be careful where we find fellowship. 

We can only find the truth of God’s will for our lives by diving into scripture, connecting with trusted mentors (and fellow believers), and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and direct our lives. I’ve learned so much truth, including that some of us need healing and others need deliverance. Spiritual warfare and deliverance are important topics that most churches neglect, so this ministry has been refreshing and honest about this struggle. I love the emphasis that we need to stop chasing deliverance and healing because, in the end, being delivered from sin and the fear of death is more critical. This truth can lead to permanent freedom!

My breakthrough came in March during a live teaching about Identity Wars. I’ve struggled with chronic health issues since childhood. God has been amazingly good to me, and I’ve had some miraculous healings that, if detailed, would make my testimony way too long. I received a renewal of my mind when the following words were spoken: “You need to stop believing that you are a sick person needing healing; you are a healed person who the enemy is trying to keep sick!” Praise God for this revelation. It’s changed my attitude towards my body and the focus of my prayers. Health issues are rooted in identity issues; I learned so much about my positional authority and Biblical identity during this teaching. I can speak with the Holy Spirit and cast out the pain and sickness “In the name of Jesus.” This is part of being a doer of the Word, not just a hearer. My childlike faith in declaring complete healing has made all the difference. I have repented for any doubts and declared that I rest in my positional authority because the Word says, “It Is Finished!” Jesus called me a new creation; all I needed to do was receive it. It’s beautiful how God has allowed me to help inspire and mentor others in the areas that God has already strengthened in me. 

My hope is to inspire you to connect with Mountain Movers Ministry as an active participant so you can reap all the blessings and benefits of connecting with women who love Jesus and are actively seeking truth and sanctification through Jesus Christ and the finished work on the cross. This is where true freedom can be found. I recognize that my journey of sanctification continues as long as there is breath in my lungs. I am just happy I don’t have to do it alone! I have finally found a church home, but I will continue to be a part of this ministry and the live Zoom sessions because of the spiritual and personal growth I have experienced and my love for this beautiful group of ladies!
