Leanne’s Testimony

Around 3 years ago, I met a woman through church who told me about Mountain Movers. I enjoyed what I learnt; the teachings were impactful and full of truth. I came away for a bit, as there was so much going on in my life, but I needed the truth, and it drew me back.

By this stage, my family life was in a bad place. Our daughter had been smoking pot, vaping, and running away. Once she was back at home, she was ruling the house and going off at a drop of a hat. Then our son also started smoking pot, vaping, and not going to school. We had two children going off the rails. Plus, we were helping a single Mum by looking after her two young ones on a regular basis. By this stage, I was exhausted. The devil had me in all directions; no one was receiving much benefit. Our family was falling apart. I felt like I was sinking with nowhere to turn, as everything had failed, and I felt defeated.

Jump to now, 13 months of doing mentorship, I am mostly focused, am generally only taking on what I can handle, and I’m learning to warfare in a way that is benefiting my family. My daughter is now receiving the help she needs and my son is doing courses to get him into an apprenticeship. My husband and I are actually communicating in a way that is helpful to our family.

The biggest game changer for me was mentorship. With Melissa’s and Tanya’s guidance, I got to see where the devil had me at, using distraction and guilt, and where God wanted me at—a focused, forgiven daughter of God. Melissa told me I was so busy that I had no time to focus on God or my family, and that was the truth. But with God, we changed that. Thank you, Melissa and Tanya.

I believe that every part of Mountain Movers holds a valuable place for me. I am always learning or being blessed by what someone has to share. These ladies, although on the other side of the world, are my sisters in Christ, and I love and appreciate them dearly.
